Note #65: How To Buy from CDJapan- Step by step guide

As promised, i am going to write a step by step guide for people who wants to buy items from cdj (by debit/credit card). I advise those who want to buy from cdj to carefully read the T&C, return policies, and compatibility for electronics before you buy the items.

Seperti yang dijanjikan, saya sediakanbantuan langkah demi langkah untuk anda membeli-belah di cdjapan (menggunakan kad debit/kredit). Apepun, sebelum membeli tu, kena baca dulu terma dan syarat, polisi pemulangan barang, dan kesesuaian barang-barang jika anda membeli barang elektronik. 

Click on the cdj banner above to browse the web, set up your customer account. They'll ask you to add card you will use for payment, credit/debit card. Just put one
there.
Klik banner cdj kat atas untuk ke web cdj, daftar akaun pengguna anda kat situ akan ada part yang anda kena letak maklumat kad debit/kredit yang akan digunakan untuk pembayaran.

1. After you got you item of interest, click on it, for example, it'll looks like this:
    Dah jumpa barang yang nak beli tu, klik, pastu benda camni akan keluar, contoh:

Checked on the price, change the currency to yours, mine here is in MYR. Then clicked on the red button 'Add to Cart'. 

Cek harga dalam matawang masing2, contohnya sy bagi dalam RM lah. Pastu klik butang merah 'Add to Cart'.

2. Then, this will appear:

     Pastu,yang ni keluar:

 If you wish to buy more items, just look for it and add to cart. If not, just click on the red button 'View Cart'.

Kalau ade lagi barang lain nak beli, cari dulu, tekan 'add to cart' lagi, pastu boleh la 'View Cart' bila dah siap. Kalau beli satu barang tu je, klik terus view cart. 

3. After view cart, you will see this:

    Lepas tekan view cart, benda ni pulak keluar: 

This is your cart.You can see the item. If you wish to buy the item more than one, you can add the quantity, or can reduce the quantity. 

Ini cart nye. Kat sini boleh tengok barang yang korang nak beli tu. Kalo rasa nak beli lebih dari satu boleh tekan butang tambah tu, boleh kurangkan jugak.

4. Calculating the price+shipping charge:

      Kira harga termasuk kos pos.

Click the drop down menu, and choose your country. Then click calculate.

Klik menu 'drop down', pilih negara anda. Kemudian, klik 'calculate'.

You can see lists of shipping method provided and the price respectively.

Kat sini ada jadual untuk beberapa cara penghantaran dan harga setiap satu. 

*In my case, i usually use airmail or SAL. Airmail costs a bit higher than SAL, i received my parcel in 7 days after they shipped out. As for SAL, it will take longer. mine took 25 days starting from the shiping date, June 16th - July 10th. 

After that, clicked back, go to the previous page and click 'Proceeed to Checkout'

Kat sini boleh tengok senarai pilihan penghantaran dengan harga sekali. Saya pernah guna Airmail dan SAL je. Airmail cepat, dalam masa 7 hari lepas pos, saya dah terima. SAL pula, sampai cecah 25 hari bermula hari dipos. Tentulah Airmail lagi mahal dari SAL.

Lepas tu, klik 'Proceed to checkout'.

5. They'll ask you to log in into your account again, for security purpose i believe.              Click 'Sign in'.
     Log in ke akaun anda semula. 

Here are the order summary, make sure the item, amount, and price are correct. Cdj offers point redemption for purchase. As you sign up your account, you will have 300 points. Click on the 'Redeem points' button if you wish to redeem. 1 point = 1 yen. 

Ringkasan pembelian. Pastikan barang yang dibeli, harga dan bilangan betul seperti yang korang nak. Bila korang mendaftar akaun cdj ni, korang akan dapat 300 points secara otomatik. Nilai 1 poin = 1 yen. Jadi boleh klik butang redeem points tu kalau nak guna. 

Below the 'redeem points' button, you can see the points you're going to get after the purchase and available once the item you bought been shipped out. 

Sebelah bawah butang redeem point tu ade tunjuk point yang korang akan dapat lepas beli barang ni. Lagi banyak korang beli lg banyak point korang akan dapat. Dapat tu lepas barang dipos. 

If you click the redeem button. This will come out. Type in how much you want to redeem from your available points. Also can use all of it. Then click 'apply', you'll be brought to the previous page.

Bila tekan butang redeem point tu, yang ni keluar, boleh tulis nak redeem brp banyak. Tekan butang 'apply' pastu page sebelum ni akn muncul balik.

Make sure your shipping address is correct, shipping method you want to use, and the payment method. You can always alter these information to correct it by clicking the edit button on the right side. After making sure all are ok, click 'continue' button. 

Cek dan pastikan alamat, cara penghantaran, dan cara bayaran yang korang nak tu betul. Ade nak betulkan ape, boleh je tekan butang edit kat belah kanan tu. Dah betul semua info tu, klik butang 'continue'

6. Debit/credit card information:

    Maklumat kad debit/kredit: 

Here, you have to pick your card. If you already put in your credit/debit card info, It'll be shown here. If you put more than one card, choose the one you wish to use. If you havent provide you card, click on the yellow button, 'add new credit card'. I usually use maybank card or cimb card, both are debit card. Then click 'place order' button. 

Kat sini pulak,korang kene pilih kad yang korang nak guna untuk bayar. Kredit/debit kad la.Kalau masa register korang ade dah letak info kad, dia akn ade kat sini. Kalo x boleh tekan butang 'add new credit card' yang warna kuning tu. Saya guna debit card maybank/cimb. Klik 'place order'. 

This page will appear, showing you the flow of payment process. Click 'continue'. After that, a pop up window/new tab will appear for you to access to you bank. Follow the instruction, they'll show you the amount to pay in yen, and expect they'll charge you few ringgits more. 

Bila nampak page ni, dia ade tunjuk flow untuk bayaran. Tekan 'continue, pastu ade pop up window atau new tab yang bawak korang untuk masuk ke korang nye bank. Ikut ja arahan. Dia tunjuk harga perlu bayar dalam matawang yen, agak2 dalam beberapa ringgit lebih la dia charge nanti, sbb kita x sure rate bank kan.

7. Completion

After your transaction completed, they'll show you this:

Lepas transaksi bank berjaya, benda ni muncul. 

Look at the credit card status. If you are using it for the first time, you might have to make a call to your bank to approve it. Oh, and they'll will charge you 2-3 ringgit for activation if not mistaken.

Tengok status kad. Kalau pertama kali guna, and status ckp tgh tunggu approval ke ape, nanti kene call operator bank la tanye cemana nak aktifkan. Sesetengah tu akan ade cas pengaktifan. 

By this time, you will received a confirmation email. Check your email.

Note #60 : Car and Trolley

Versi Bahasa Melayu di bawah (skrol ke bawah ye)

I went to Tesco Nilai today. First thing that irked me comes when i was about to park the car. There's a trolley left in parking box. 

When i came out from shopping the groceries, a worse scene appears before my eyes. The trolleys parked in few parking area is increasing. There's one couple that parked their car just next to mine, and next to them was an empty space for car park, and next to it, is the place where we should return the trolley after using it. But the ignorant couple push away the trolley they used, to the empty box. I was stunned by their action. I can't help but to curse their action under my breath. I was fumed already.

I wonder what can i do to let people know that this kind of behavior is the worst, it is small, but important. As a Malaysian, i am ashamed with myself and this nation (for this particular behavior). Too many stupid people can lead to the downfall of the nation. Same goes to the proud snobbish people. Living this life, one must have consideration toward others. There's always rudeness everywhere, a lot in fact.

I am not condemning, i am complaining. I am not know-it-all person, but I know we can learn and share the knowledge, I may not be all polite, but i know basic politeness and common sense. Don't let our grandchildren blame us later for our ignorance now. Get a brain..

Saya ke tesco nilai pagi ni. Sampai2 je dah rasa marah bila nak letak kereta. Mana x nya, bersepah troli dalam petak letak kereta. 

Masa balik lagi teruk, makin banyak pulak troli2 kat beberapa petak letak kereta. Masa saya pulangkan troli nampak satu pasangan ni keluar dari beli barang. depa letak kete kat sebelan petak kosong, sebelah yg kosong tu pula tempat letak troli. Bila diorg dah siap isi barang2 dalam kereta, terus si perempuan tolak troli ke petak kosong tadi. Padahal guna sikit je ATP ADP ke apebenda tenaga dalam badan tu dah boleh letak troli kat tempatnya. Selangkah dua je. Tapi masalah tingkah laku x sopan, xbuat la camtu. 

Kalau individu x berani nak tegur orang x kenali secara terus cam saya ni, cemana nak baut untuk bantu masyarakat kita jadi lebih bertimbang rasa? Malu tau jadi sebahagian dari masyarakat x bertimbang rasa camni. Kalau satu2 bangsa tu ramai sangat orang bodoh, atau sombong sangat, xlama la bertahan.

Nak hidup aman jangan harapkan orang lain je buat baik, diri sendiri pun kena la jadi baik. Saya pun xla baik mana, tau la sikit2 perbuatan menyusahkan orang tu cemana.Tolonglah didik anak2 kita.

"Agar generasi kita di mana hadapan bangga dengan apa yang kita wariskan.."

Note #50: Judge The Book by Its Cover..

It is so common. People who sell book will have their illustrator create a cover as interesting as possible so that it can catch buyer's attention. But yeah, it's more to attract, rather than to be judge. Good books can have a good cover, bad books can have bad cover, good books can also have awful cover, and bad books can have pretty cover. We want to avoid the latter as much as we could. 

Sorry for the weird intro. I was upset, angry. But not now, i am writing here reminiscing what happened this evening. At Dunkin' Donuts, i was about to order my lemon filled donuts as usual. There are quite a number of customers which i found unusual. The worker lady asked me to queue and pay at the counter first. I saw 2 guys there, n decide to stand behind the second guy. He give way to me as if he's not queuing. I stepped ahead. Then the cashier lady called for someone to collect his/her orders n some random people suddenly popped up to claimed it. I began to confused. How are things work here? Then this one specky lady, seems a bit senior than me stand on the other side of the guy in front of me. She's tried to cut the queue, while someone is already behind me. 

Things become a bit hay-wired a bit since they served us weirdly. The specky-lady rushh to order once the guy in front of us done with his. But the ladies in charge there seems to be still busy with previous customer. I tried my luck to order too since there are 2 ladies in charge there. At the same time, i am annoyed with the specky-lady bcs she just denied my right to be served first. She's not even queuing! When i tell them what i want, the cashier lady said, " tunggu ye, ikut turn..". I was annoyed, i said, " Sepatutnya saya dulu.." I faked my smile. I am sure the cashier lady heard me. Because i saw her surprised expression. But since she already took the order from the specky-lady, she can't cancelled it. Instead, she quickly told her colleague to served mine. Once she done with the specky-lady's one, she said, sorry to me. 

What does this have to do with books and its covers? Well, the issue here is specky-lady. Bcs i am annoyed with her for the whole incident. She look very nice, give me a professional look, seems to be well educated person. neat, and she speaks, well, just as common working people in KL lah. Mixed language. But the way she behave, ignore the queue, it dropped all the good impressions i have on her. So yeah.. i am disappointed as well as with annoying.

Many times i encountered people with such professional image, but the attitude in public places, especially when commuting public transport is horrible. I always tell myself, " Hmmph, pakai baju H&M pun perangai cenggini je..malu H&M jual paju tu kat korang tau..(It's such a shame people like this, even H&M will be ashamed to have people with bad attitude as their customer)" I don't know many brands actually, and i believe H&M is not a luxury outlet that sell luxury products. Sorry for my limited knowledge on trends and fashion, that's kinda the only thing popped up in my head. I would keep blabbing on these if i don't stop now. I should make another rant entry for my annoyance toward people who commuting the public transport. Until then.

Biasa lah tu. Orang jual buku pun mau suruh illustrator depa reka cover buku supaya cantik dan menarik. Barula orang tengok tertarik. Tapi sebenarnya, cantik luaran ni guna dia untuk memikat ja. 

Tadi saya marah. Marah saya bukan jenis meledak teriak2 kat orang gitu. Marah saya pendam, pendam saya x berbara. Pendam saya jadi abu. Alhamdulillah. Dari satu segi sifat saya ni satu kelebihan, dari satu segi, sifat saya mungkin kelemahan. Tak tau mana satu yang lebih. 

Saya pergi ke Dunkin' Donuts untuk beli donat lemon saya. Kebetulan ramai orang. Depa suruh saya beratur pi bayar dulu. Saya pun menonong lah pegi ke kaunter. Ada dua orang lelaki kat depan, sorang nya beri laluan sebab dia dah pesan makanan, tengah tunggu je. Pastu ade la hakak sorang ni, dia pegi sebelah kanan belakang mamat yg paling depan tu, macam nak berebut untuk pesan makanan dengan saya (saya kat belaknag belah kiri). Saya rasa menyampah. Pastu bila mamat kat depan ni siap, puak2 staf n cashier ni pulak tgh serabut nak sediakan makanan yg dah dipesan org2 sebelum kami. Hakak kat sebelah ni cecepat bagitau si cashier tu dia nak ape. Saya yang blur2 ayam dengan keadaan yang xteratur pun mencuba nasib sbb pada hakikatnya, hak memesan makanan saya punya dulu sebab hakak tu potong barisan. 

Saya cakap la, "donat lemon dua..".Tu je yang saya nak order ringkas. Skali budak cashier cakap, "tunggu ye, ikut turn.." Saya apa lagi, mmg turn saya kan, sensitip di situ, maka sy ckp la, " Oh patutnya memang saya dulu pun.." diikuti senyum tipu. Cashier tu cam terkejut skit, hakak yang potong barisan pun cam ade reaksi jgk. Tp buat tatau. Saya mengambil keputusan untuk senyap dan layan perasaan marah sorang2. Cashier tu cecepat suruh kawan dia amekkan pesanan saya, pastu dia minta maaf. Bila dah bayar saya senyapkan je. Xdelah nak marah sgt dah ngan dak cashier tu.

Ape kaitan kulit buku dengan kisah ni ye? Nak citer nye pasal hakak yang potong barisan tu. Imej bukan main profesional lah, pakaian kemas, muka terpelajar, cara cakap, alah, biasa2 gaya kebanyakan orang2 keje opis kat KL ni, campur2 rojak2. Sinis disengajakan* . Walaupun luaran macam bagus, sekali dia buat perangai potong barisan tu, memang terus hilang benda2 yang saya kata tadi. X kira la betul ke x semua andaian pertama kali saya tengok dia tu, semuanya xguna dah sebab kelakuan yang tah ape2 tu. Potong barisan x baik. Kecewa. 

Malas nak tulis pasal H&M. haha.

Note #47: Roll Cake, Swiss Roll (Kek Gulung)

#Ade versi bahasa melayu kat bawah ni. Bukan diterjemah satu2.

It was my semester holiday, so i went back to my hometown to my parent's house for almost a month. The habit is, every time i'm home, i must bake something. Of course something sweet. If not baking, i'll make some karaage or any japanese-style dishes using meat/chicken (fried of course, i'm in love with the not-so-healthy food). Mom used to scold me whenever i make something not to her taste, but gave up a bit since i'm being persistent. I feel bad.

This time, i tried to bake a roll cake. The first attempt was horrible, severely FAILED. I went on sulking period for one day, thought i really positive that i will sulk for more much longer. But once i eat the failed roll cake, suddenly the familiar taste came to me. It's a deja vu. I've tasted something like this before but couldn't remember what it was. The my aunty who taste the product said, "owh, it taste like *bahulu!!". Then i cracked a laugh, a hard one. I was too amused to care about my sulking. The day after, i decide to buy some more ingredients for roll cake baking attempt no.2.

This time, i tried on other recipe. The ingredient include some cooking oil for the batter. Lucky for me it went well. A bit spoilt bcs the surface of the cake is a bit sticky, and it breaks when i was rolling it (but i rolled it anyway). Perhaps it broke bcs the cake had dried up when i was busy making lemon curd?~

I was so tempted to make a roll cake with lemon curd. Unfortunately my lemon curd taste bad. I don't like the smell of butter in my lemon curd. Too strong, and distracting. Overall the second attempt for roll cake is so so. The cake taste delicious, but not with lemon curd. I might wanna do it again in the future. Baking a roll cake is pretty tedious for me(i must be a laughing stock with this statement).

Citer dia, saya ni tiap kali balik rumah masa cuti sem pasti nak membakar kek, buat ape2 makanan manis. Xdelah rajin sangat. Tapi teringin nak buat sendiri. Mula2 tu buat la dulu kek mentega yg mak suka. Ambik hati dia sebelum jalankan projek sendiri. Hajat di hati nak buat kek gulung.

Maka percubaan pertama dilakukan. Resepi senang sangat2. Tapi hasilnya teruk. xde rupa kek langsung. Tapi masih boleh dimakan. Cemana tuh, bayangkan sendiri lah. Merajuk la dulu sebelum makan. Mencuka muka kot. Saya cubalah makan sambil merajuk tu. Rasa macam pernah makan rasa ni. Skali makcik saya cakap rasa bahulu laa.. Ahahaha, tergelak jugak kat situ. Apadiaa bakar kek gulung tetiba jadi bahulu. Saya ni genius ke cemana ni. Org yang menang hadiah nobel tu pun ade dari eksperimen x jadi tau. Dalam hati gebanng 'aku ni genius ni'. 

Pastu terlupa kes merajuk, esooknya beli lah bahan2 lagi untuk cuba kali kedua. Kali kedua gua resipi lain. Pendek citer, keknya menjadi, berangan nak sapu lemon curd kat kek tu. Usahakan la buat jgk tgh2 malam tu. Ade rupa, tapi rasa xsedap. huh, rasa mentega kuat sangat. Kiranya, kek gulung tu xla menjadi sgt, masa gulung pun ade patah2 sana sini tu. Tapi xde hal, saya gulungkan juga. Simpan dalam peti, makan esoknya. Tahan je la bau mentega dlm lemon curd tu. T_T
